Prom Dresses For Girls
The girls' fashions of today are far more sophisticated than those of a generation ago. While most Generation X and Generation Y girls wore a lot of jeans and t-shirts, sundresses and mini-skirts with combat boots, today's preteens are demanding more grown-up looks that come from the heavy impact that celebrity fashions have on their lives. At school, girls' fashions involve a lot of unique cuts, lines and angles in bold colors and eye-catching prints. Most preteens demand that their outfits be carefully coordinated with shoes and accessories to ensure an overall put-together look.
There are also a lot more occasions for preteens to wear dresses than there were in the past. Until recently, proms were only held for juniors and seniors in high school. Now, in the spirit of inclusion, even middle school students and some elementary school children may get proms or their equivalents. Even though there are a lot of these events in today's youth culture, each one is considered a special occasion that deserves a carefully selected dress.
Girls' Fashions Have an Adult Edge
Even when there is no special event to dress up for, most preteen girls will not wear overtly childish clothing, such as sweaters with embroidered animals or too many primary colors. The fashions they want have a mature edge, while still looking young. Flared hemlines, V-cut necks and capped sleeves are common features of the girls' fashions of today. Un Deux Trois designs and sells high-end specialty clothes for preteen girls in four Southern California locations.
